Cooper Joseph-2 Months!

I can't handle the cuteness!!! He is getting so so big!!

Weight: 10 lb 11 oz (WHAT?!)
Length: 22 1/4"
Clothes: 0-3/3 Months in Carter's

Loves: tongues sticking out, raspberry noises, diaper changes, being naked, rattles, white noise
Hates: burping, the beginning of bath time (just the beginning!)

What a month it's been for this little handsome man!!

We started him on soy formula on Wednesday and we've started noticing a change with the first bottle. Hopefully this soy is the ticket because I'm telling you-I can't get enough of the laughs and giggles we've been getting!!

I finally got around to sending out his birth announcements a few weeks ago..designed by my talented Nestie Bestie Caitlyn!

(I also feel the need to add this in here as opposed to giving terrorism and negativity its own blog post. Last April I was blessed enough to see one of my favorite cities I've ever been to and one of my favorite people in the world lives there--Boston. What happened on Monday was utterly terrifying, disgusting, nonsensical, and wrong. Boston is a great, wonderful city full of great wonderful people in a great and wonderful country. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't like it here and if you don't like Americans, I mean this with the utmost respect when I say-kindly get the hell out and go back to where you came from...no one is forcing you to be here. Why must you breed hate and take the lives of innocent people-including a child? Disgusting. I hope you rot in jail-a Boston jail at that. Have fun.)

Routine

I know I know..routines with babies change all the time!

I'm back to working full time now so routines are pretty crucial to get things done and still have time to spend with Cooper.

MORNINGS:

6:30-wake up, wash bottles from the night before, get ready for work
7:00-wake Cooper up, change him, and feed him...and most of all cuddle him!!
7:40-out the door headed to the sitter!

8:00-5:00-work. During my lunch hour I either run errands, clean house, and once a week Jon and I have a lunch date. :)

EVENINGS:
5:15-get home, start dinner, and take care of Reggie

6:00-dinner on the table, then spend time as a family

7:00-bathtime for little man

7:30-bottle and bedtime for Cooper

After he's down for the night I pick up the house, do dishes, and get his bag ready for the next day. Then I spend time with Jon and crash around 10.

It's hectic and I live for the weekends, but it's worth it. :) It's all worth it!

Being a Mom

Almost 8 weeks into this being a mom thing...on one hand I still feel like I don't know a single thing. On the other hand I feel like I've been doing this my whole life.

It's the most incredible feeling in the world. And one that no one can prepare you for.

I would be lying if I said this was easy for me at the beginning. It wasn't. At all. The first 3 weeks were the hardest of my life. I can't tell you how many times I cried to Jon. I called my mom asking for help. She is a saint, by the way. I just wasn't getting better. Everyone talked about "baby blues" and how they got better...mine was getting worse. I loved Cooper but I was so anxious about being a mom and scared I wasn't doing it right.

After 5 weeks I finally gave in and called my doctor. He prescribed me medicine and I haven't looked back...it may not be for everyone but it helped me.

Being a mom is hard work, but it's also something to enjoy.

And now I enjoy it!
