20 weeks!

That's right..we're half way done with this pregnancy. Whaaaattt??

I know, I know..brown pants + black shirt = sexy. I had on a cuter outfit today, I promise...but, I always take my bump picture in this shit so yyeah. :)

Let's chit chat about this week:

-We started our registry over the weekend. Holy overwhelming, Batman!!
-I'm having horrible round ligament pain/in general stretching pain. My ute is straight sitting on my pelvic bone...I swear it. ;)
-My back is hurting a lot.
-I could care less how much pain I'm in....I felt the baby kick this week!!!!!!!!!! (x a million !!'s)
-We're having another ultrasound on October 17th to verify the gender since we don't really have a money shot picture. Bless my doctor.
-Little change up is occurring with my doctor. He now won't be delivering at the hospital in my town so we'll have to go to the next town over. I'd love to know who I need to start shin kicking at that hospital! My mom works at the hospital in my town...cut me some slack!
-I'm feeling a little...overwhelmed right now, to be honest. Overwhelmed of, holy shit, we're really having this baby! Overwhelmed of, we have so much stuff to do, how are we going to get it all done, I'm 5 months pregnant. FIVE MONTHS PREGNANT. Overwhelmed of, I don't want to wait until October 17th to verify gender, I want to know for sure now. Overwhelmed of, I'm gonna be someone's MOM. What if I'm not good at that? Oh em gee, you guys.

On a side note to make this short and sweet and try not to get too negative. I think that sometimes, we need to cut the drama out of our lives, regardless of how long it's been there. I don't care what anyone thinks about what we're naming our sons/daughters/pets/etc, to send hateful messages about my baby and his name just makes me angry.

Kind of a downer sort of post...totally unintentional!

Just feeling very overwhelmed...still very happy and excited to finally be a mama!

Princess or Allstar?? It's a....

Our ultrasound went great this morning!! I totally cranked my neck and sneaked a peek of the screen a few times. I KNEW.

I looked over at Jon and mouthed,"I think it's a boy!"

He shook his head like,"'s a girl!"

Then she says,"Okay...let's get the money shot!"

She tries and the babe kicks at the screen.

Over and over!

Finally...we catch just a glimpse as he's moving around!

Little stinker!!

We couldn't get a picture of the money shot but we saw it!

We're doing an elective ultrasound in a few weeks just to make sure...but I think it's safe to say...

I'm outnumbered!!!
(And I love it!)

Show and Tell Link Up High School Memories

1. Tell us what kind of student you were in high school {popular, nerd, sport obsessed, choir, etc}
I was a really good student in high school. I finished in the top 15 in my class, I think. I had a lot of friends, mostly guys. I spent every weekend working and then going out afterwards (Where did that energy go?!)
2. Share with us some high school pictures. We know you have them somewhere.
3. Tell us about your school. Private? Public? How many in graduating class? Mascots? School colors?

I went to a small public school. We had 76 in our graduating class. Our mascot was the Charger horse and our colors were red, white, and blue.
4. Tell us about some of your favorite memories of high school. Or what stands out the most? Any teachers? Specific classes?
Where do I start?
Homecoming week?
Football games?
Cabin parties?
Senior benches?

5. Tell us a piece of advice you would pass on to your children or any child entering high school.
Work hard and have fun! It's a great time in your life you'll never get back.

We find out in 5 days if we're having an All Star or a Princess!!!

18 weeks!

-Lovebug is the size of a sweet potato!
-Sleeping isn't too comfortable right now...I finally get comfortable (thank you, body pillow), fall asleep, wake up to go pee, lather, rinse, repeat. ;)
-Energy is starting to come back!
-Got my first comment from a stranger. A customer at work touched my stomach (I pretended I didn't wanna spout off. I don't like random people touching my bump, thank you!) and said,"You're expecting!!" I've never seen them before so I'll count it. I've had a few of my regular customers notice about a month ago because they usually see me every week or so so they obviously noticed the difference.
-Reggie Monster has taken such a liking to the baby. When I get home now, it's no longer "Shower Mama with kisses and loves." It's, "Mama, bend down so I can give the baby lovins." Watching TV in our house? It's no longer, "Mama, I wanna lay on your lap and sleep." It's, "Mama, I'm gonna put my head on your belly and just lay there."
-We're starting to clean out the spare bedroom so we can start turning it into a nursery (You guys...A NURSERY!) in a few weeks!

One more thing...what is it?

Oh yeah...

If Lovebug cooperates *pats belly lovingly*

Guesses, anyone?

I'd like to find some sort of wall decal, as well..the possibilities are endless though!! Do we do a set of Colts decals? Reds? Pacers? All three?! Decisions, decisions, decisions...

We know we want to have the name over the changing table..with the accent color on the wall with the changing table, as of right now.

The crib, dresser, and changing table are going to be the same no matter if the baby is a boy or girl...those will be shown to ya'll in the nursery reveal!

Only 7 more days until we find out if we're having a little All Star or a little Princess!!

Show and Tell-Let's talk about Babies!!

Once again, thanks, Becky for hosting!!
1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)
Since we're expecting now, we've decided on names for this baby..that's as far as we've come so far. We have one girl's name and one boy's name.

Girl-Kendall Nichole
Boy-Cooper Joseph (CJ for short)
2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}
Actually...I'm going to make you wait. We've (I've...) planned out our baby's nursery depending on the sex...stay tuned on Wednesday for a glimpse of future Cooper's nursery and on Friday for future Kendall's nursery!!
3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
We right away said we wanted two. Now, we've both said, ideally two. If we have three, great! If we have four, GREAT!! We'll take as many children as God blesses us with..though I do like even numbers...2 or 4 would be great! :)
4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
Shaping your child into being a HAPPY and successful member of society. I think it's important to teach your child right from wrong (or wright as I just typed it...pregnancy brain, I tell you!), teaching your child to treat people well, and to be an overall good person.
5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}
newborn picture idea
Thank you, Pinterest!
6.  Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you stick to it}
-Be on a different team than Jon. As in, I don't want Jon telling the babes "no" and then them come running to me because they know I'll give, no, no...we're going to be on the same page, I hope!

-I don't know if this counts, but I promise to not stop dating Jon even when we have children...I think that is so important. I don't even want to get started on it...I'll stand on my soapbox.

-Allow my children to be disrespectful/rude to anyone.

17 weeks!

I think we've hit a bit of a growth spurt this week!

See what I mean??

In other news---

*Baby B is the size of an onion right now. Keep growing little one!
*We've started looking at nursery themes now. And we've even bought a few things! (More on that in the next post.)
*I bought a few more maternity clothes. Now...I just have to figure out how to make a nice transition from regular pants with a Bella Band (which is starting to suffocate us!) and maternity pants that actually fit me!
*Baby names are chosen for sure! :)
*We find out in 13 days if we're having a little princess or a little all star!

Baby B, we love you so so much, little Lovebug!!! We can't wait to see you in two weeks!!!

Show and Tell Link Up-Fall is in the Air

Once again, many thanks to Becky for hosting!

Tell us what you are looking forward to this fall?

I looooooooove fall! It's hands down my favorite season! I love the cooler weather, the changing leaves, the holidays, the style of clothes, etc etc. Oh and I love anything pumpkin, so you know I'm in heaven right now!

2. Show us your fall style.

I'll let me good friend Pinterest show you...

1, 2, and 3

For obvious reasons I'm all about comfort right now. As soon as the weather allows I'm living in leggings and cute and comfy big sweaters!

3. Tell us your favorite things to do in the fall. If you have children, activities to do with the kids?

We used to carve pumpkins every year, but Reggie thinks pumpkins are edible..which they are but not for him! ;) So we quit that.

Proof...nice black bra strap, Kari.

We usually get a bunch of people together and every year we go to Fright Fest at King's Island. If you've never been there-you basically spend $45 and get the shit scared out of you all night long. They have between 10-15 houses to walk through. It's a great time-we love it! We're opting out this year of course, though!

Every year AMC has their horror movie marathon every night in October. You'll catch us on the couch, lights off, bowl of popcorn in between us. It will happen again this year I assure you!

We also try to catch at least one scary movie in the theater. Usually it's the Saw movies but they ran out of ideas two years back. ;) Our most recent obsession is Paranormal Activity..yep we will be seeing #4 the day it comes out!!

And finally....though it's technically symbolizing the end of fall and the beginning of winter...we go downtown for dinner with our friends and see the tree lighting at Monument Circle.

4. Show us your favorite fall beverage.

Apple Cider

Pumpkin Spice Latte

5. Tell us, how you will be participating in halloween this year. Plans? Costume ideas?

We just found out this weekend two of our friends are having a Halloween/Purdue football game party (BOILER UP!). Not sure what we're going to be...we've thrown around the idea of bun maker/bun baker, but we'll see!
