Vacation Recap-Ripley's Aquarium, Alligator Adventure, and Pelicans game

Jon and I spent a full day at Broadway at the Beach and about half a day at Barefoot Landing. We had never been to BL before and we really weren't too keen on it. We kept getting turned around because there were so many different little sidewalks/boardwalks to walk down.

We did go to Ripley's Aquarium and Alligator Adventure though. We loved both of them!

We also went to a Pelicans game. Jon loves baseball and he loves the show (loved I suppose-it's over now) Eastbound and Down. It was taped in Myrtle Beach and Kenny Powers plays baseball at the Pelicans stadium..though they're called Mermen on the show. So we made sure to check out the stadium. :)

This little guy was at Broadway at the Beach. The picture was not zoomed in whatsoever. And I'm scared of any kind of bird..duck included.

You could actually touch the dinosaurs..and they moved. It. Was. Awesome!

I was obsessed with the baby dinosaur.

Sunkissed skin

This was the biggest skull found of any predator. NO THANK YOU.

Sweetest creature ever!

Jon and I swore this thing was fake...hell, it even had moss growing on it. Definitely looked at us though.

Tail less alligator

We stayed for the alligator feeding. Check out that action shot.

Pelican's Game

It was rainy and kind of chilly that night. But we still had a blast!

Vacation Recap-Wilmington

If you're not a OTH fan...um..I'm sorry?! Enjoy beautiful Wilmington, anyways! :)

Jon and I left with our handy dandy GPS and my handy dandy little stalker list of addresses for OTH sites. (If you're going to Wilmington and want any of them I have them saved on my computer. I have Dawson's Creek ones as well.) It didn't take us long at all. I think we got there around 10:00 and we were headed back to Myrtle around 2:30...that's with us stopping for lunch, too. It's only about a 90 minute drive to Wilmington too, so it's a very easy drive. :)

Enjoy!

Whitey's house. As Jon said,"OMG..you mean to tell me James Lafferty and Chad Michael Murray STOOD on those steps!" hahaha He's a dork!

"This is your home, Brooke Davis." How about the Clothes over Bros shirt appearance too?

Dan and Deb's House

Lucas's House!!!

me at Lucas's house...including his bedroom door :)

P. Sawyer's house :)

This was the thing I was most excited for. This silly little bench. Why? Well..it's the bench where Nathan gave Haley the bracelet in the third episode. "Don't say I never gave you anything." And I swoon.

He's so wonderful about going on these little adventures with me

Karen's Cafe

In the 5th season, we see that Nathan had an injury that put him in a wheel chair. This is where he went through the window...notice the number on the building is 23? That's also the number of his basketball jersey. Fun fact of the day. :)

Tric. They moved the stairs though. Whores. :)

The bridge.

I don't wanna be anything other than me.<3

Love love love all these pictures!! We had lunch at Dockside then headed back to Myrtle Beach. :)

Vacation Recap-Charleston

The first full day we were there, Jon and I took a little day trip to Charleston, SC. It took just under two hours to drive there. It was literally two turns to get there. We had planned on grabbing lunch, taking a harbor tour, then doing a carriage tour, grabbing dinner, and doing a ghost walk. Put a check mark by ALL of those. :)

We got to Charleston around noon and grabbed dinner at Pace's Pizza Balls. Delicious!! (I'll do a review of places we stayed/ate/did/etc at the end of the recap like I always do-as well as a cost sheet.) We then drove to the harbor and waited for our tour to start.

Hope you like pictures ;) This post is FULL of them!

Charleston Harbor

Not sure what my arm is doing there..but I love this picture of us. It will be framed...after it's cropped. ;)

Love this shot-it looks like a post card

After the harbor tour we hauled butts (like that Little Rascals reference?) and made it to the carriage tour. They were supposed to stop at 4:00 (We may or may not have gotten there with about fifteen minutes to spare) but they extended it because there were so many people left to take it.

The carriage tour was exactly what you'd imagine. It was a horse drawn carriage taking you through downtown Charleston. Jon and I love history and this tour was perfect for us. Plus we all know how much I love architecture and design so this was right up my ally. :)

One of the oldest churches in Charleston. Charleston has always been a city with freedom of religion so it has more churches per square mile than any other city in the US.

Just look at that house!

If you look just a shade to the left you'll see a dolphin fin! That's right-we saw bottle nose dolphins twice-on the harbor tour and on the carriage tour.

After the harbor tour we got dinner at Wild Wings Cafe. So good! I got some BBQ so I considered it a success! Then we walked around tour for awhile until it was time for our ghost walk.

I had high hopes for this tour because Charleston is known for being a very haunted city due to all of the history of the city. We heard some good stories but it was more about the history of the city...which we had already heard on the previous tours.

We headed back to Myrtle Beach after the tour and got back around 11:00. We were completely wiped out and ready to crash!

Next up...Wilmington!!

We got back several hours ago. I just got all the pictures uploaded on the computer. I'll try to get my posts set up by Monday to start posting next week.

We had wonderful weather, great memories, plenty of laughs, and hella nice tans. :)

Have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend, guys!!

Let's Shake the Sand off the Sheets

Let's start this off with a little side story. Today at work, me and two of my other co-workers had a floor to ceiling display fall on us. True story. I think my favorite part was when one of my favorite guys that I work with (ah hell, my favorite) said in the most calm and serious voice...as we're all three under a pile of metal and wood, "Well, it's official. I'm mad now." hahahaha Bruised shoulder, chunk out of my thumb, and three bruises later-I survived with a funny story to tell. :)

I'd like to thank Youtube for giving me the WORST screen shots to choose from. hahahaha I look like a goofball in all of them but nonetheless enjoy these two videos.

Hopefully they help you out when you're packing for vacation too!

I'll be spending the next week with my handsome husband beachin it, One Tree Hill'in it, and sightseein!

Have a GREAT week!!!

Big gulps, huh? Wellllp...CYA LATER!!

PS I'm giving a huge shoutout to my good friend Maria. Sending you lots of love!<3

"Dirt Road Anthem makes my speakers go BOOM BOOM!"

Wow..that's all I can say. This was my second time seeing Jason and my 11th time seeing Luke. (Some say "stalker" I say "dedicated"!)

I went with my favorite cousin in the whole world, Katie. I love this girl like my sister. We practically grew up together. I spent every summer at my aunt's house (Kate's mom) so pretty much every summer memory I have growing up this girl is a part of. Now we go out to dinner every few months for our "cousin date".

We went to the Luke and Tim McGraw concert last summer together and had a BLAST! When I saw that Luke and Jason were coming to Fort Wayne-one text message was sent and the tickets were bought twenty minutes later. :)

Last weekend, we made our shirts for the concert. I used my tried and true method of puffy paint. Katie used iron on letters...well...she didn't get to wear her shirt. The letters fell off in the car. hahaha

Fort Wayne is about 2.5 hours away from us so we left around 2:00. We got about half there and we were STARVING...which is really no shock. If you know me, I'm always hungry. Well....large appetites run in our family just like our big butts. :)

We decided to stop at Steak n Shake in Anderson for linner. ;) As we were pulling in I mentioned to my cousin how Amber and Gary on Teen Mom ate here on their episode of 16 and Pregnant.

We walked in and guess who was in Steak n Shake?! Gary and Leah-along with Gary's family and who we presume is his girlfriend now. Leah was absolutely adorable and a complete doll. We never really heard a peep from her. Gary seemed nice. We stood behind him in line and I think he knew that we knew who he was. hahahaha We were pretty excited! We knew the night was going to be awesome after that! :)

We made it to Fort Wayne around 5:30 and the doors were supposed to open at 6:30. We wasted some time taking pictures and making friends with the girls in line in front of us. :)

When the doors FINALLY opened we ran in and I bought my new Luke shirt! (Picture to come later!)

Cousin pic before going in (Do you like the guy slamming back his beer in the back ground...FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT?!)

Love this picture!

And this one just makes me smile. We don't remember what we're laughing about but apparently I thought Katie was hella funny. hahaha I believe this is photographic evidence of what Jon calls my "cackle laugh".

The concert was...wow...just wow. Enjoy a few more pictures!

Oh Luke, I heart you!!

I remember going to see him with Jon at 8 Seconds Saloon downtown and there being maybe 100 people there. Now he's helping Jason sell out concerts left and right. And Tailgates and Tanlines went PLATINUM you guys! I'm so proud of him. SO SO PROUD.

Oh hey, Jason!!

Wanna hear a crowd get loud in Indiana?

Have Jason sing the following lyric...

"Have you ever been through Indiana?"

I swear. People were going CRA-ZEE when he sang that part. I have it recorded on my phone. It was just insane!

Tuesday-Fish and wedges (this has been on the menu for three weeks now...it will get made this week!)

To the best woman I know...

There really are no words for how amazing my mom is. She is truly my best friend and I love her dearly. If I'm half the mom she is I will be happy. She treats Jon like her own son and I love her for that. She's a great grandmother to my nieces and nephews..and to our Reggie Monster who loves and adores her more than anyone...even me!

Thank you, Mom for every thing you've done and continue to do for me. Thank you for always being there for me and for always knowing what to say to make things better.

Happy Mother's Day!

I love you!!

Thanks Reggie-for making mommy laugh when she's trying so hard to make a vlog! hahaha

I just had to share this with you guys...I almost didn't. It was supposed to be this great vlog about our vacation and it turned into me playing with my pup and stumbling over my words...enjoy! :)

PS-Thanks Maria for giving me the heads up to get old Blogger back...at least for awhile! ;) <3<3

Do you know what I'm doing right now?

If you guessed watching old episodes of The Hills...you'd be right!

But I was going with the OTHER thing I'm doing...finishing planning our vacation!!! We leave 2 weeks from TOMORROW!!!

Deciding where to go is always a two week or longer ordeal. We always throw around ideas and road trips. We thought about going to DC..then decided we wanted something more relaxing. We thought about going to Gatlinburg...and decided we would rather just take a long weekend in September and go. Disney World was out-we're going back there after we have our first little one! (Hopefully you know that's in like a year or 18 months from now!) We went to Myrtle Beach last year (see the posts here, here, and here!) and we loved it! We had so much fun and we still talk about it to this day....so it was decided! But thanks to our LOVELY hotel experience, we switched it up!!

And we're going to Charleston and Wilmington for day trips (more on that later on in the week!).

Today I'm looking up information on restaurants, fun places to go, making a quick meal plan (We have a kitchen in our suite (SCOOOOREEE!) so we'll have breakfast and lunch at the hotel a few days.), and making our packing list.

Let the planning begin!!!

(PS. New Blogger-I'm giving you the middle finger right now.)

Cort's Wedding

Gotta love Indiana weather!! I'm sitting here typing this with fans going, the windows open, and enjoying the 80* weather...last weekend was 40* and pouring rain so cold it may as well have been ice! hahahaha Especially when you're in a strapless short dress!

Nonetheless the wedding was a blast!!

Enjoy some pictures!!

Random but can I just tell you that I'm watching Guiliana and Bill and I'm so so SO happy they are expecting!!! I love days off where I can relax, grocery shop (spent $53 saved $35..woop woop!), take naps, catch up on my DVR (Army Wives, anyone?), and eventually clean the house!

Hope every one has a great weekend!! Jon's at a bachelor party this weekend in Chicago and I'm gonna be busy here working on getting stuff ready for the next few weeks (including another Vlog!).

PS. This new Blogger pisses me off. There-I said it.
