I started off like I always do...I made a list:
Then I set to work. As you can see, I crossed a few things off the list already. And add a few more. I made a batch of puppy chow for us to take and I bought Sam's gift today too! I'm staring at the list of DC sites and pictures now so check that off the list.
Tonight I'm going to work on getting our itinerary set up and making a list of everything I need to pack.
For now though...it's off to watch the finale of Pretty Little Liars!!

Easy Baked Fish and Chips
(Recipe from Kraft)
HEAT oven to 400°F.
TOSS potatoes with Italian dressing, then 1/4 cup coating mix. Spread onto large baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 20 min.
MEANWHILE, spread remaining coating mix onto large plate. Spread fish with 2 Tbsp. MIRACLE WHIP; press, dressing-sides down, in coating mix. Repeat to coat remaining sides of fillets. Place on rack of broiler pan.
ADD fish to oven with potatoes. Bake 15 min. or until fish flakes easily with fork and potatoes are tender.
I changed it up a little bit. I didn't use Italian dressing with the potatoes. I HATE Italian dressing-the smell and the sight of it makes me sick. So I just omitted it.
Jon and I both LOVED it!! We can't wait to make it again!
Jon has been sick for about a week now and today finally started feeling better. Me and my good buddy Lysol had a little catch up session. We caught up with everything Jon touches on a regular basis-door knobs, cabinet fronts, fridge handle, keyboard, etc.
Took all of 5 minutes but so worth it!

For our bedroom I want to do a basic sandy tan color with a deep brown accent color. All pictures are from Glidden.com.
Here are a few accent colors:
I have it down to these two for the color for the other three walls:
Sahara Desert Sand
As of right now we're going to put new carpet in there in November. Yay!
First off-we have a big window pass through between our hall and our kitchen. I've been looking for SOMETHING to put there during non-holiday times. Our kitchen has a wine theme. I snagged two of these guys at Target for $1 each. I took off a wine colored ribbon and set them in their place. I love them!
I'm a list maker..as I'm sure you all have figured out by now. So of course first thing I did this morning was this...on Colts stationary of course. Represent. (*cough*Peyton, feel better soon. WE NEED YOU.*cough*)
And off I went. Prepare for some embarrassing before and afters.
First stop was the kitchen. I cleaned the stove. Then got to work on the fridge:
AFTER: (Makes me want to go grocery shopping!)
I didn't venture too far after that. Freezer time.
Next up was the bathroom. Our medicine cabinet wasn't too bad but I still wanted to organize it a little better.
First shelf is our dental stuff, as well as Jon's smell goods. Our second shelf is for common medicines, band aids, etc. The top shelf is stuff we don't need too much of-extra Q-Tips extra medicine, and prescriptions.
We have a linen closet in the bathroom. It needed major help. Mainly the bottom shelf. P.S. I know we DESPERATELY need to paint the inside of the closet. When the bathroom was remodeled I had about 4 hours to paint the bathroom. By myself. Suck. The closet was the least of my worries. Nonetheless...
I picked up a storage container to put our extra beach towels in-so much better than shoving them into the shelf with our extra toiletries.
Next stop is our bedroom. My side of the closet just needed a little TLC.
My dresser was sad. I just snapped photos of the worst drawer. My other obsession-tank tops.
I was slacking on the filing things away this week. Evidence...
By 5:00 the list looked like this:
That makes me feel good. And it makes me not feel so bad about laying on the couch right now knowing that all I have to do the rest of the night is put our clothes away and get some MUCH needed sleep.

*First and foremost-this guy! He's the best husband I could ever dream of and I love spending every day with him. He's my rock, my best friend, the love of my life, and my soulmate. And one day (hopefully sooner than later) he will be one amazing father to our babies!
*My bestest friend ever ever ever. I love her so much! Unfortunately, we've been through the same thing recently, so we understand what each other are going through. It's so awesome to have someone that you can vent to about everything...and I mean everything!
*I'm thankful that in 2 weeks I get to visit the Leery residence again! This time with my longest friend Sammie! I'm so excited! We always have a blast together-and our love for the Creek is right up there with our love for cheesy songs and singing and dancing in the car with the windows down. (Preferably not while running red lights in down town Indy! *cough cough!*)
*My mama who I can call every day and still think of something else I wanted to tell her. She knows all my gossip, my sad stories, and my happy ones. I usually talk to her every day yet I still wanna hang out with her every single chance I get.
*My sister who sends me texts messages at 7:30 in the morning that make me laugh so hard that I know the rest of my day will be good! And she's been there for me through everything. I'm very lucky to have her!
*My co-workers and bosses. I wouldn't have made it through all of this without them. They're amazing and I'm so lucky!
*My Nestie Besties. I love my girls so much! I love their texts, phone calls, and card to let me know that they were thinking about me and Jon.
*Every person who took the time to call us, text us, stop by, send cards, leave comments on here, etc. You have know idea how much they mean to us.
*My pup. Even though he drives me CRAZY-I love him to pieces. He's so sweet, lovable (most of the time!), and so damn cute!

My Tackle It Tuesday tag teamed with my daily cleaning: The kitchen. Our kitchen was in serious need of some TLC!
After dinner I got down to business...
And the After shot...
The last picture is proof that today I didn't do my first bad habit! The dishes are put away! And for the record...the shower spray was used twice!
Run down of the TLC:
-Dishes done (and put away!)
-Cabinet fronts wiped down
-Countertops are all sprayed down and re-organized
-Floors swept and mopped
Definitely needed! My next task is the bathroom. Hopefully that will be done tomorrow, hopefully!
Monday, August 15, 2011
1. I'll do the dishes at night and I don't put them away. I'm guilty of this all the time. Really..is it too hard to put them away?
And I'll go ahead and add one more, tiny, little one:
2. Daily shower spray-I always forget to do this. How long does it take? 10 seconds, if that!
Wednesday-Corn dogs, mac and cheese
Thursday-Spaghetti and garlic bread
Friday-Steaks, twice baked potatoes
This week I want to get quite a bit done around the house too! Aside from my weekly cleaning.
-Reorganize dresser drawers
-Reorganize bathroom organizer
-Work on household binder more
-Clean the outside of the house (mainly the porch)
-Start finalizing our shed selection and figure out when we're going to do this
-Upload pictures from our house post tornado damage

-Do the dishes.
-Meal plan for the week.
-Lunch at the fancy schmancy winery
-Day trip to Lousville
We feel like if we stay busy and keep our minds off of the last 24 hours-we will both be better off. It works for us-may not work for everyone and we understand that. But for us....let's just try to move on and get past this. Keep calm and carry on...

Last night I started spotting. It got worse and I miscarried this morning around 6:00. It was horrible, awful, and the worst day of my life so far.
Everything happens for a reason and I'm trying to stay positive.
Next time we'll get our forever baby...I'm sure of it.
I don't plan on mentioning this again. Like. Ever.
