Part Three: Vacation Part two: Dawson's Creek

I'm not ashamed to admit that I love Dawson's Creek! Jon was wonderful and drove me around everywhere I wanted to go and didn't even bat an eye at me shamelessly squealing like a little girl..and crying..but more on that later...

I took 85-ish pictures..I'll spare you though. The above picture is just us exploring Capeside!
Then we tried unsuccessfully to find Dawson's house. Then...well...look where this picture is:

Don't recognize it yet? Okay...

Does THIS look familiar? No? Nothing yet?

NOW...does THIS look familiar???? That's right! With my amazing husband's help-Dawson's house was found! The gentlemen that lives there was SO nice! He told us we could take pictures, so we explored for about twenty minutes. This picture of the house I actually took on our way back to the car. But I can honestly tell you that when we first walked to the front of the house and the creek, I cried just out of sheer...I don't know...shock and awe. I was shaking and I just kept saying,"Oh my God. This is really it!"

After we found a few more houses (i.e. Jen's, Andie and Jack's, and Chris Wolfe's), we did some more exploring, then headed to the hotel for the night. Where I found this...

Capeside High School-Home of the Minutemen! (Er...Wildcats on the first episode...hahaha)

Needless to say....this day was hands down my favorite of the week. It was incredible and amazing!

Only one more part left...Charlotte!!

Part Two: Meal Plan

Monday: Steaks, Mashed potatoes, corn on the cob
Tuesday: Bow tie pasta skillet (new recipe!), garlic bread
Wednesday: Corn dogs, mac and cheese
Thursday: Velvetta bake
Friday: Pizza sloppy joes (new recipe!)

Three Post Day...Part One: Tornado

Yeah. You read that right. Wednesday at 5:00 (5:12 to be exact) we had a tornado come through our town. Our house has some damage-a few holes in the siding and a little roof leak. Oh and we need a new shed. But trust me when I say, we are SO lucky! Some people in town lost their homes-but luckily no one was seriously injured.

We're waiting for the insurance adjuster to come out and look at the damage-but obviously we're not high on the priority list. So patience is a virtue. I'll post pictures of the damage soon.

Vacation Recap Part 1: Myrtle Beach

Let me preface by saying this was, hands down, the best vacation I've ever been on. We had a blast!

We drove down on Sunday and had a great rainy drive. We parked at the welcome center in North Carolina and had a great little lunch. It was so perfect. We spent quite a bit of time at Broadway at the Beach.

We started every morning with a walk on the beach.

And lounged at the pool. We also went to several attractions, including the Ripley's Aquarium and the Believe it or Not Museum.

We also saw an IMAX movie, did some shopping, and spent tons of quality time together. I haven't laughed that hard in so long. We made so many great memories that will are still talking about.

We stayed in Myrtle Beach until Thursday morning, when my wonderful, understanding, and loving husband fed into my insanity and drove me to Wilmington, NC to see where Dawson's Creek was filmed. But that's another update for another day!

Bye for now!!

Like everyone has mentioned, thanks to Blogger's "short" disruption, my blog from Thursday didn't work. And I lost it! Super suck.

Nonetheless, I'm sitting here, packed and ready to go. Just a few more things to pack up in the morning and we're out the door. Here's the rundown on the vacation:

We're spending 5 days in Myrtle Beach!!

Our hotel has a lazy river! Me = PUMPED!

Then, we're headed to Wilmington for a day!! Why Wilmington? Because Dawson's Creek is my favorite show OF ALL TIME. And J is wonderful for for enduring it with me!

Then, we're finishing up at the NASCAR Hall of Fame...complete with the All Star Race Saturday night!!

See you later!!!
