Weekend Recap!

I can't believe how fast this weekend flew by! Let's recap, shall we?

Friday: Worked until 5, then Jon and I went out for pizza and went to the grocery store. By the time we got back and relaxed for awhile, it was time for us to go to bed since we both had to work Saturday morning.

Saturday: I worked until 3. Then I hurried home, changed clothes, and helped my PIC at work Kristy plant some flowers. When I got home, I threw some of the left over pizza in the oven, scarfed it down. Then got to work! I started my laundry, threw some cupcakes in the oven (for Sunday), and made our reservations for dinner for our vacation (more on that another time). Did the dishes, and crashed by 10:30.

Sunday: Slept in!! Took a shower, loaded up the car, and headed to my sister's for my oldest nephew, Nick's graduation party. Enjoy some pics:

Next weekend is just as busy, but I'm so excited for it!! Friday, grocery store and relaxing. Saturday, Jon and I are going to the Cincy Zoo and then going to a cookout with some of our friends. Sunday, Jon's going to the Indy 500 and I'm going with my best friend to see the new Sex and the City movie. Monday is still up in the air--probably relaxing though!!

Another Remodel Check!

I FINALLY got the front flower bed and potted plants done! Only thing left now are 2 flower beds on either side of the driveway. I'm hoping the rain will hold off and I can get the grass cleared out for those 2 areas tomorrow!

Looks so much better!

Bathroom After!

With the help of my wonderful brother the bathroom is soooooo close to being finished. All that's left is we need to put a new drain stopper in the tub so we can take baths (not that we ever really do, but still) and then we have to put a new drain hose on the washer. When the washer was moved the person put the hose in the washer and closed the lid causing a kink in the hose and a hole. Of course, I didn't find this out until I innocently tried to do a load of towels and saw water under the washer. *eye roll*

Anyways, it will get fixed! Enjoy the pictures:

We have kind of a busy week this week/busy weekend coming up, but I'm going to try to sit down and figure up a final cost and put in on here so you can see the breakdown of the remodel costs.

Here's some during remodel pictures!

Okay I'm caving and posting on the damn bathroom! We got our floor laid yesterday! It looks amazing!

Here's the floor (and Reggie)

Our new vanity and paint color. Still need to put the base boards on.

Attention whore over here had to have his picture taken. But he's just so cute!

Close up of the tile! DuraCeramic Fired White with Pewter Grout.

Everything else is good to go. Toilet's in, vanity's in, floor's done, shower's in...but wait...

The shower drain was put in on Monday. Jon went to take a shower Tuesday and said the water wasn't hot. No, it wasn't hot. It was barely luke warm. We've called the contractor 3 times now. Even my co-worker called him. He called me Wednesday morning and asked what was wrong. Well, there are 3 things:
1) The water is not hot--it's luke warm. It's hot everywhere else in the house, including the bathroom sink.
2) When you turn the water on for the shower, before you actually turn the shower on, the water comes out from both the faucet and the showerhead.
3) He put the gasket above the tub, so our drain has a lip on it.

And there are little other things that needs fixed too--caulking around the top of the shower walls, mudding needs done on some areas of drywall, and our dryer vent needs ran outside.

It has to be fixed tomorrow or we're going to take other actions and calling someone else to fix it. This is almost 2 weeks without a working shower. And I still need to finish painting and putting up the base boards.

It will get done though. Must stay positive!

I'm taking a break from my bathroom posts (because honestly, at this point, it just pisses me off) to update you on our vacation!

As I mentioned previously we are going November 28-December 4!!

We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort:

In the next few weeks, we're going to plan our trip itinerary and then start making dinner reservations!!

Oh I'm so excited!!!

Let the countdown begin!
