I suuuuuuuuuuck at updating this, but here we go! I promise I'll be better at it.

Work has been crazy busy lately. January is our big sale and this year hasn't been any different. It's hard to keep up sometimes...but I'm trying to keep my head on straight.

This past Monday, Jon and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary, as well as our 6 month wedding anniversary! I got beautiful red roses and a very sweet card. So amazing! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

The cleaning schedule has been going really well. I'm very happy with how the house is looking! And with our tax check, we're going to gut our bathroom and redo all of it. I'm sooo excited!! And we're looking at going to Disney World in the fall!! Yayyy!!! :)

And one more thing to update...

COLTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!! (AGAIN!) We got this, boys! Yell! Scream! GO HORSE!!

Our Love Nest

I need to get a new picture of the front of our house! That must occur soon...

Nonetheless, let's start with the living room.

This was the day we got possession. Which are you more jealous of? The border or the beautiful carpet?

My bosses (who are wonderful P.S.) gave us new carpet for our living room and hall as a wedding present! Then I repainted the next month.

Much better! And actually-this picture isn't accurate. We've upgraded the furniture and have matching ones now! And our DVD collection is a lot more tame! And I have to show you a picture of the photo wall above our couch. It centers around our 8 x 10 wedding picture signed by Mr. Luke Bryan!

Moving onto the kitchen. This is a semi-before picture. I put up the wine border. It had an American flag border. I love my country but not on my kitchen walls.

A month after we moved in, our ice maker leaked. Therefore we had to replace the floor.

I actually like this a lot better!!

The office is up next. When we moved in we didn't do much to this room. So tell you love the cantaloupe walls? Or the lovely blind color? How bout the two together?

We painted the office back in April and one of my coworkers installed carpet for us while we were on vacation. Oh and we replaced the blind!

Next up...the evil room. The bathroom. It started like this on move in day...

And quickly turned into this:

I wasn't crazy about it. But I knew we wanted to replace the floor with our tax check. But as luck would have it...we decided it was best that while we were tearing up the floor we would gut it. You heard me. Gut it. When you only have one bathroom it's NOT FUN. We love how it turned out though! Here's just one picture:

Last up is the game room. One of the main reasons we bought the house. Jon and I always said when we were dating that we wanted a room with a pool table. Well....

We got it! This baby was painted Colts Blue. No. Really. It's Colts Blue.

It also has a LOT more on the walls now!!

I have to post pictures of the spare bedroom & our bedroom still. But we are going to redo both of them this winter so I'll post pictures then!

Our house is still a work in progress but I love it.

I love it because it's our home.

A little Intro

Hey! I figured it was about time I wrote an intro post so here we go.

The basics:

-25 years young.
-Hoosier born and raised.
-Graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
-Avid sports fan, especially NFL football. Yes, I'm a Colts fan. Yes, I know people hate Peyton. Yes, I play Fantasy Football. And yes, I can hold my own in a football conversation.
-Huge fan of country music.
-In love with the color pink.
-Loves having a clean and organized home.
-Loves Interior Design.
-Fur mama to my Reggie Monster.
-Married to the love of my life.
-Loves to eat, cook, bake, etc.
-Reality TV buff.
-Addicted to sweet tea.
-I believe every Joey has a Dawson and every Dawson has a Joey.
-I love taking pictures.
-I have the best family I could ask for.
-My friends make my life so much better.
-I'm making it my goal to spend at least a weekend in Wilmington every year. I love that place!

And I figured I'd give some love to my favorite little furbaby:

Random facts:
-Marlin Jackson (Used to play for the Colts) told me once that I know a lot about football. This was after we had a twenty minute conversation about the different refs for the NFL.
-I've seen Dawson Leery's house. Twice. The first time was hands down something I will always remember. It was so beautiful. I found it online and met the gentleman that lives in the house now. He is a sweetheart.
-My husband is my best friend. We talk every day at lunch and every afternoon when he's driving home. Yet I still get excited when he gets home because I get to hug him, kiss him, cuddle him, and spend time with him.
-I'm an avid organizer and planner. I love the feeling of a house being clean. I love making lists. I love it. I feel at east when things aren't a mess.
-I'm obsessed with Bath and Body Works. My body wash, lotion, and body spray have to all be the same scent. The scent depends on the season. And I love their antibacterial lotions too! I have one in my purse and one at my desk at work.
-Which transitions into....I have a lotion problem. I use Johnson's Baby Lotion every night after I shower and on my face twice daily. I use B&BW lotion before I get dressed. I also have in shower lotion I use after I shave. Not to mention I have a travel size bottle of lotion in my purse and a Signature Collection bottle at work.
-I've met 3 NFL players. 2 Colts and 1 Cowboy. Keep that tally coming up!
-I love going on getaways! Jon and I try to go on 2 or 3 little getaways and one big vacation every year. We also do little getaways with our friends.
-I wish I was more risky when it comes to fashion. I'm a layer girl. I dress cute but I don't accessorize because I'd rather spend $20 on a new shirt than on a necklace. I'm a thrifty person I suppose.
-I love to cook. There-I said it. My secret's out. I love cooking dinner every night. It makes me feel good.
-I love napping and sleeping. My Sunday mornings usually go like this: wake up & take care of the pup, make breakfast, start a load of laundry, nap, watch football and do laundry. hahaha

That about sums me up! I'll add more as they come to me!

Our From Now On!

It's a classic story. Girl and boy are best friends. Boy is head over heels with girl. Girl takes 5 years to come around....

Jon and I dated a few months in high school but broke it off. Went off to college and stayed best friends.

Over Christmas break our sophomore year we started talking and hanging out. I asked my friend Sam to go to dinner with us and invite her fiance Mark. Double date ish, I guess. Jon and I were sitting next to each other talking and laughing, only to realize we were holding hands. We kissed that night on my living room couch. Then went back to school...

I assumed we would be together but Jon never asked. We had already said "I love you" a few times before getting off the phone. Still no title. On January 25th, I got the question I had been waiting for. He waited until that day because that was the day we started dating in high school. He thought it would be special to ask on the same day two years later. :)

On July 3, 2007, Jon came to my apartment at school. I made dinner and started doing dishes. Jon told me there was something he wanted to talk to me about. I had butterflies for some reason. I was so nervous. I hurried and did the dishes. I came back into the room. He had moved all the furniture to the perimeter of the room.

He told me that he didn't want me to be his girlfriend anymore. I started freaking out-thinking he was going to break up with me. He jumbled through a few words before saying,"Wait..I mean...I don't want you to JUST be my girlfriend. Do you get what I'm saying?" I said,"No..." He stood up, stood me up and said,"I'm saying you're my everything..." and hit one knee. I'm not sure what else he said but I know it ended with "Will you marry me?"!

We knew we wanted to wait until we were both out of school to get married. I graduated in May 2008 and he graduated in December 2008. We started our jobs and began looking for a house. We found our home in May and moved in over Memorial Day weekend 2009.

In the midst of the house buying process, my boss told me about a lady in town who was giving away lab puppies. Jon wasn't all for it. I was ready to pick one up. We compromised-we said we would go look at the pups, if we didn't fall in love with one-we'd keep looking after we bought the house and got moved in.

We came up to the house and saw 6 puppies. All so cute. But there was this one that I kept looking at. The only black one in the litter. He came teetering up to me. I picked him up. Jon started petting him-he licked Jon's face. I went to sit him down, he started whining. I picked him up-he stopped. We made no rash decisions, but asked the lady to let us think about it for the night and we'd be back tomorrow but to please not give away the black puppy. After talking we said we would go back the next day. If he came bounding over to us again-he was ours. Sure enough, he saw us and started hopping to us. Love at first sight. That's how Reggie came into our lives!

Our lives continued to change for the better!

We said "I Do" on July 25, 2009! It was a picture perfect summer day! I still look at the pictures and get so teary eyed!

Enjoy a few pictures from the day!

Hope you've enjoyed our story so far...but it's only just beginning!
