Day 22

Today I'm thankful for Vera Bradley and their great customer service! I ordered a Vera purse and wallet on the 11th of this month. I never received it. I tracked it Saturday and it showed they delivered it to the house across the street--to the only neighbor we haven't met yet. We went over there and the woman apologized but she refused the package from Fed Ex because she assumed that Kari B was the name of the girl that lived in the house before her (It's a rental home.). Long story short and two hours of fighting with Fed Ex later, they believed me when I told them that the address on the package was wrong, but they wouldn't change the address. I said "Fine, then just deliver it across the street and I'll come pick it up." They said they couldn't do that because they KNEW it was the wrong house. Ugh.

So on my lunch hour today I called Vera and they tried to have Fed Ex send it to me again and Fed Ex refused to. Instead, they insisted on sending it back to Vera. Technically, Vera has to refund my order. Bali Gold, the pattern I originally bought, is out of stock now. Sad face. But this really nice woman gave me several different patterns to choose from. I ended up getting a purse, wallet, and a checkbook cover which I should be receiving on Black Friday at the latest!

So excited! Vera's customer service FAR FAR FAR exceeds any expectations!!

Here is my new pattern:

Days 15-21

Day 15

I finally broke down and bought a pair of these. They are so warm and actually look pretty good with some skinny jeans. And they keep my feet warm and toasty, which will be great for the upcoming fun events we have going on!

Day 16

I'm typing this while watching Home Alone which reminds me of how much I love Christmas movies! They always put a smile on my face and they get me excited for the Christmas season.

Day 17

I've always wanted to see this event in person. That right there is Monument Circle-right smack in the middle of downtown Indianapolis. I've seen this a million times before as I lived downtown for 4 years. However, I have never seen it lit up for the first time. The city lights it every year on Black Friday and there is a fireworks show following it. I've wanted to see this FOREVER! This year, Jon and I are going with two of our best friends, Michael and Britt (who actually met at our wedding!). We're going to dinner downtown, then to see the lighting, then to a Pacer game. It should be a fun night and I'm thankful to spend it with 3 of my favorites!

Day 18

Let me tell you about this girl. This is my best friend, Ashley. We've been inseparable since sophomore year of high school. We've had ups and downs, but through it all, we've always managed to work it out. I love her so much and I'm so excited we can go shopping together on Black Friday!

Day 19

Meet Josh. This guy has always been such a sweet heart. His birthday was yesterday (Happy Birthday, hun!). We had a bit of a scare several years ago when he had to have open heart surgery. I'm thankful every single time I get to see him and I'm so grateful that he is still here with us. He's such a wonderful person and I love him dearly.

Day 20

You know, work is so much easier when we click with someone you work with. You know, it's even better when you meet a co-worker and they become one of your best friends. This is Britt (see Christmas tree lighting entry)! I get to see her this weekend and I can't put into words how excited I am! We usually have distance between us (i.e. MOROCCO, NYC, and now Denver) but we still manage to stay close and we see each other every chance we get. I love love love her and I'm thankful to have met her.

Day 21

I'm thankful that Jon and I were able to go on vacation this year! We had a great week together and I can't wait to go on another vacation!

Day 12-14

Day 12

I'm thankful for weekends off! I work every other weekend. This week was very trying at work, so I'm grateful for having two days in a row off.

Day 13

"Hey you. You're my constant companion. You always let me explain just what I'm saying and we've just begun."

November 13th is one of my best friend's birthdays. However, one year ago on this day, my world was shaken up. One of my best guy friends who I looked at like a brother passed away in a car accident. In the picture above, he's the one directly behind me. I miss him every day and think of him often. Sometimes, I wake up and forget he's gone. I'll see a black Camero and think,"Oh! There's Troy!" Then reality hits me again. Upon his death, I've found myself even more attached to my guy friends. I've always had more guy friends than girlfriends and my boys mean the world to me. I love each and every one of them and I'm thankful for every day I have them in my life.

"God is great. Beer is good. And people are crazy."-I love you, Troy and miss you every single day. I would give anything to have you stumble up to me at the bar saying,"Kaaaaaarrrrrrrr, hugs?! Let's do a shot! " then you would put your arm around my shoulders and lead me to the bar, dance floor, etc. Miss you, hun.

Day 14

And finally, today, I'm thankful for Sunday NFL football!!! It's my favorite day of the week!! GO COLTS!!

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Days 10 & 11

Day 10

I'm thankful for this funny guy, Daniel Tosh! He makes jokes that everyone thinks but no one says! Jon and I saw his show Tuesday and we're STILL laughing about it!

Day 11

In honor of Veteran's Day, I'm thankful for all of the men and women serving in our armed services. I appreciate everything you and your family sacrifices for us. Especially to my favorite soldier-one of my best friends, Paul. I appreciate you so much and I'm still glad every day that you're back home safe and sound!

Days 8 and 9 of Thanks

Day 8

Generally speaking this day, I'm thankful for my girlfriends. They keep me sane and we always have a great time together. I love them all so much-whether we've been friends for 20 years or 1 year, I love each and every one of them.

Day 9

I'm thankful for my bosses and coworkers. I have, without a shadow of a doubt, the best bosses. I work for the best guys in the world. They have always been so understanding and helpful to not just me, but to Jon as well. Along with that, I work with the best people in the world. I met two of my best friends at work and I'm so grateful for both of them. The picture attached to this one is one of my favorites from our wedding. The guy talking to me is one of my coworkers, as is everyone behind him (aside from the young girl of course! haha).

Sunday, November 7, 2010

Day 7 of Thanks

I'm thankful today for our house! We moved in over a year ago and we've made it our home. We've done a lot of work on it and have worked hard to make it ours.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Day 6 of Thanks

Today I'm thankful for these pretty ladies! These girls were in my design classes with me. I would LOST without them to this day. They are a huge support system for me and I love them dearly. I'm so blessed to have met them my freshmen year. They helped me through so much through school-silly boys, friend drama, long hours in the studio, and many life milestones.

Friday, November 5, 2010

Day 5 of Thanks

Today, I'm thankful for my extended family, especially my cousins! I have about ohhhh 30 first cousins just on my mom's side. This week, I went to see my favorite cousin, Katie at her school. We spent several hours just laughing and catching up. It's crazy-I remember her being so young and getting into trouble together. Now she's a freshmen in college! Love her!

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Days 2-4 of Thanks

Day 2:

I'm thankful for my mama! She's the best mother I could ever ever ask for. I love her to pieces! I hope I'm half as good as a mother as she is. and I'm thankful for how close we've always been.

Day 3

I can be thankful for my puppy, right?! :) Seriously though, even though he drives me crazy sometimes, I absolutely love this animal. Probably more than normal. I love how excited he gets when I get home, how sad he is when I leave, and how he loves me more than Jon! (haha!) He unconditionally loves me. He has such a playful nature, yet he's so protective of me. I think he's going to be a great dog to have around when we have children one day.

Day 4

I'm also thankful for my sister! We weren't always close growing up, but since we've gotten older we've gotten a lot closer. I'm thankful for always having her to talk to and listen. She's amazing and I love her dearly!

Monday, November 1, 2010

A Month of Thanks-Day 1

I'm thankful for my husband! He's amazing and wonderful! I love him more and more every single day. I'm so grateful to call him my husband. He's so good to me and he's so funny-he always makes me smile! He makes me laugh every single day. I can always count on him to bring me up if I'm upset or mad. He's my stress relief and my rock. I love him so much and I'm THANKFUL for him.

I can't even believe I'm writing this entry...

..today at work I had an epiphany of what to get Jon for his big Christmas gift this year!

Mom and I are going shopping Saturday, so I'm going to start pricing the item then. (I'm not going to write on here what it is juuuust in case.)

Tonight was actually a pretty productive night. I've managed to get caught up on laundry and get two trash bags of clothes to donate to Good Will. I also dusted and vacuumed the whole house. Now I'm relaxing and trying to stay warm (Low of 29 tonight? Ew!)

I really want to start getting ideas of what to buy everyone for Christmas. We have quite a few people we buy for every year. Plus we're having my side's family Christmas at our house again this year, so that should be fun!

I can't believe the holidays are coming up so fast!

Hope everyone has a fun & safe Halloween weekend!

Red.Orange.Yellow.Brown. FALL!!

Happy Fall, everyone!!

This weekend, Jon and I went to King's Island for their Halloween Haunt with our friends Kyle and Maegan. We had a BLAST!! The weather was perfect and we had a great time!

This past week was pretty exciting-not in a good way though. Reg was sick at the beginning of the week, so we had to doctor him back up! He seems to be good to go now! (And up to no good, might I add!)

We have so much to look forward to soon! We're going to see Daniel Tosh in 3 weeks! Yayy!! And then we have Thanksgiving, then the day after Thanksgiving (which includes shopping for me during the day, then we're going to dinner with some of our friends followed by watching the Tree lighting downtown, and finally going to a basketball game)! We're also going to Christmas at the Zoo, which we both love!!

Taco Pizza-Update!

We made the Taco Pizza last night!! Sooo good!

(photo from womansday.com)

We made it without the lettuce. Here's the recipe (from Easy Cheesy Meals cookbook)

Ingredients:

Pizza Crust
1 lb ground beef
Taco Seasoning
Shredded Cheese
Desired toppings

1. Brown hamburger and mix in taco seasoning.
2. Spread out pizza crust onto pan.
3. Spoon meat mixture over crust.
4. Top with cheese.
5. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 until golden.
6. Top with toppings. We just added crushed tortilla chips. Other suggestions: lettuce, chopped tomatoes, salsa.

Definitely a recipe we'll add to our rotation!

Hello, Fall!

I absolutely love fall! It's my favorite time of the year aside from Christmas!! Jon and I went shopping last weekend and bought some new stuff for the house! Here are a few pictures! There are more things we bought but those have to wait until we put out our Christmas decorations!

Our new doormat! Meijer-$9.99 Yes, please!

Our cute little scarecrows! Walmart $1/each.

This is a combo picture. This is actually right before entering our hallway just a few feet down from the TV. We just bought the shelf (Target $8.99) and the decorations (Pumpkins $1.00/each Christmas Tree Shoppe and Scarecrows $2.00 each CVS)

You can see the larger shelf pictured above a little in this picture as well. We bought this shelf (Target $4.99) and the cute little Halloween figures (Christmas Tree Shoppe $1.50/each). I'm not sure what I'll put on this shelf in November but I'm sure I can figure something out.

Now onto non-holiday related things. Jon found this sign at the Christmas Tree Shoppe for $1.00. It was perfect for our wine themed kitchen and fit perfectly above the doorway leading into the hallway.

This is in our master bedroom. It's just one of the shelves we bought. (Once again, Target $4.99 each) The flowers are my actual bouquet from our wedding! You can see my Granny's pearls still attached to it. The picture frame (Walmart $3.00) fits the "theme" of our bedroom. The picture is of us in Epcot! The little black box you see on the right side is a shadow box we have. In the center is a 4 x 6 picture of us and surrounding it are various tickets and stubs from events we've went to together since we've been a couple. We're going to hang the other floating shelf on the other side of the shadow box, but I don't know what to put on it yet so for now, that wall is a little lopsided! Also, to carry the "All because two people fell in love..." theme, there is a small sign we bought back when we got engaged from Target that hangs over the bed that says the same thing! I love the saying and I think it fits us perfectly!

Hope you enjoyed the newness! I love buying new stuff for our home! I can't wait to get it all decorated for Christmas! That's my favorite time!

Sunday, October 3, 2010

Weekly Menu

Monday-Parmesean baked chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade mac and cheese, biscuits

Tuesday-Pigs in a blanket, french fries, left over mac and cheese

Wednesday- Quesadillas

Thursday- TBD

Friday-Out

I just bought a new cook book at Target called Easy Cheesy Meals. It looks great! I would love to try one of those recipes, but I don't want to go to the grocery store until Friday. So if I can find a recipe where I have all of the ingredients on hand, I'll definitely try one. Otherwise, it will wait until next week.

Hemingway's Whiskey

Kenny Chesney's long awaited CD came out Tuesday...it was in our house Tuesday afternoon.

I wish I could put into words how much I love this CD! Everyone has heard Boys of Fall I'm sure, so I'll spare you that one, but of course it's solid. Enjoy the lyrics from my favorite two songs:

Where I Grew Up:
There's still marks on the pantry door of that little house
Where Mama used to measure us
I'm proud to say that's my home where I was raised
But that ain't where I grew up

See, I gained a little on Father Time
The summer my Granddaddy died
The first time I saw Mama cry
Man, that sure was tough

Felt like I put on a few years
Watching Daddy wipe her tears
In my little coat and tie standing in that cemetery mud
That's where I grew up

My senior year, a case of beer out on the river bank
Getting a head start on twenty one
That's the place that made me feel just like a man
But that ain't where I grew up

See I gained a little on Father Time
That night I crossed that center line
I bet I rolled a dozen times

Next thing I knew I was waking up upside down
Praying God just get me out
Then I hit my knees beside what was left of my truck
Hey, that's where I grew up

You learn as you go, that's how you grow

See, I gained a little on Father Time
When me and her, had our first big fight
I said some things, I made her cry
She packed all her stuff

The boy in me said let her go
But the man in me said pull her close
It was time to find out which one I was
Standing in a doorway holding on to love

That's where I grew up
Oh, that's where I grew up

(I'll also add that when I googled "Where I Grew Up" the first thing that popped up was "Where I grew up we rode in trucks" from Luke Bryan's "We Rode in Trucks"! I love it--my boy is moving up!)

And my other favorite song, I Didn't Get Here Alone:

To everyone who helped pave my way
If it weren't for you I wouldn't be here today
To all my friends, the girls, the broken hearts
All the critics, cynics and doubters, y'all know who you are

Mom and dad, and all your prayers
And those looking down from up there

I didn't get here alone
That road's just too rough and long
I might be the one the spotlight's on
But, I didn't get here alone
Yeah, I know I didn't get here alone

That old ball coach that pushed me way too hard
That preacher man said 'Trust in God' and you'll go far
And I'll never forget the songs that changed my path
Just one more reason I'm where I'm at

Yeah, I hit walls and I wanted to quit
I picked myself up but the truth is, yeah, the truth is

I didn't get here alone
That road's just too rough and long
I might be the one the spotlight's on
But, I didn't get here alone
Yeah, I know I didn't get here alone

The crew, the band, yeah, and all you fans
That stood in line rain or shine
I want to thank everybody out there for the ride

'Cause I didn't get here alone
Ain't traveled one mile on my own
You're why I sing my song
You're why I sing my song

I didn't get here alone
That road's just too rough and long
I might be the one the spotlight's on
But I didn't get here alone
Yeah, I know I didn't get here alone

Is it bad I'm already counting down to his concert?!

Vacation Recap Post

I know it's been a week since we got back and I'm just now updating. I had a lot going on but nonetheless, here we go! I took about 500 pictures, but luckily for you, I'm only posting a couple!

A picture of us in each of the parks! Minus a picture from Downtown Disney! We had a wonderful time!! I definitely recommend the dining plan. We came out with 2 extra snacks that we used the last night. Jon had a great idea for us. We opted to use our snacks as breakfast in the morning. At our hotel (The Caribbean Beach) it had a food court. You could use a snack for numerous things, including orange juice, donuts, bagels, muffins, etc. We also bought the $13.00 refillable drink cup. You could refill it as many times as you want to within the hotel. You can refill it with pop, water, hot chocolate, coffee, etc. Very much worth it. We also carried it into the parks with us and refilled it at the drinking fountains.

As far as food goes, here is a list of the places we ate at and OUR thoughts on it:

Shutters at Old Port Royale: I wish I could tell you how much we loved this place! We both got the same thing (NY strip and a baked potato). The steak could seriously be cut with just a fork! Absolutely delicious! Our desserts were phenomenal! And we were given champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great as well, and they were able to get us in early! (Grade: A +)

Casey's Corner: You give us any place with unlimited cheese for your hot dogs and fries, and we're in seventh Heaven! The food was delicious!! The only thing I didn't like about the place was the lack of seating. It had a baseball theme in it and the seating were bleachers...which made it awkward to try to eat hot dogs and fries. (Grade: B +)

Liberty Tree Tavern: First impression of this place was NOT good. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time and checked in at the hostess station.. We weren't sat until 15 minutes after our reservation time. People were sat that just walked in while we were forced to wait. Then when I went to check on how much longer it would be, the host was texting on his Blackberry and told me to "wait just a few minutes and he'll look". I was not happy. After we got sat, I cannot tell you how great our server was! And the food was wonderful! Since we were on the dining plan, we were told what we were having. Hold on, I know that sounds bad but here's what we had for dinner (in a family style, so all you can eat) Salad and rolls (delicious); a trio of meat (strip steak, ham with applesauce glaze, and turkey AMAZING); mashed potatoes, mac and cheese (both yummy!), and apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was SOOOO good!! (Grade: B -)

Restaurantosaurus: Not a lot to choose from. We both got burgers and fries. For dessert, Jon got chocolate mousse and I got a cheesecake cup. I didn't touch the cheesecake cup due to its weird glaze over the cheesecake. (Grade: C)

Liberty Bell: Great great great customer service. Really good food! (Grade: B)

Wolfgang Puck: Pizza was AMAZING!! For dessert, we both had amazing cookies that were as big as our head. (Grade: A -)

ESPN Club: The food? Amazing. Service? Amazing. Sports theme? AMAZING! Location? AMAZING! (Grade: A +)

Pizza Planet: Decent food. The portions were pretty small. If we weren't on the meal plan, I wouldn't have wanted to eat there. The price of that little pizza was just silly, in my opinion. Wolfgang Puck pizza was double the size with twice the flavor. Cool atmosphere though. (Grade: B -)

50's Prime Time Cafe: I ate here when I was younger. I'm not sure why I loved it so much. The atmosphere is cool. It's very 50's-esque for sure. Everyone has a "family" theme. The food was...okay. The fried chicken was delicious, but the mashed potatoes and green beans were awful. Jon and I both got smores for dessert, which was really good but really really small. Think one rectangle of graham cracker small. (Grade: C)

Electric Umbrella: Jon had chicken fingers and fries. I had a grilled chicken caesar salad. We both had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Jon loved loved loved it! I hated hated hated it! hahaha My chicken was disgusting! The chocolate chip cookies weren't very good at all. (Grade: C -)

Blue River Pizza Company (I think?): The last night we just had pizza delivered to our room. The pizza was very very VERY good. Best pizza we had all week! Plus, it was convenient! (Grade: A)

6 Things you wish you would have never done

1. Walked out on my first job.
2. Let a friend lie to me. Catch her on it. Then give her another chance.
3. Been such a b&tch in high school.
4. Went home every single weekend in college.
5. Give my guy friend a weird look when I saw him in Wal-Mart and he goes,"I love you, Kar." I said,"Um..I love you too. Why are you telling me that?" He said,"I just wanted you to know. I felt like telling you that you're my sister always and I love you." Then he gave me a hug that lasted for days. Four days later, he was killed in a car wreck. I miss him every single day.
6. Given silly boys the benefit of the doubt.

But everything happens for a reason. Except #5. I refuse to think that happened for a reason.

9 Things About Yourself

Okay here we go:

1.) When I bite my lip, it means one of two things: 1) I'm severely pissed off. 2) I have something I really want to say, but I'm trying to watch what comes out of my mouth.

2) I have an obsession with my "3 L's"-lip gloss, lingerie, and lotions. I buy them all the time. I can't help it. I'm definitely obsessed with lotions-I use three on a daily basis.

3.) Every time I buy new shampoo or conditioner, I try a new one. It takes me a minimum of 10 minutes to decide which one I'm going to use. I always buy one bottle of shampoo and 2 bottles of conditioner.

4.) I knew I wanted to work in Interior Design since I was in 6th grade. I truly have never strayed from that. I managed to hear about my job because my dad met someone at Chili's while he was having dinner who said that my work place was hiring. I went in-filled out an application, received a phone call the next day, and started 2 weeks later. 2 years later, I still love it. I love my bosses-they are very nice, respectful, appreciative, and they understand my passion for design. I love my co-workers. I met two of my best friends from my job. I will forever be grateful for that.

5.) I text a lot. A LOT A LOT. I like it so much better than waiting for a phone call back. It takes 10 seconds to send a text. That being said, it does take ten seconds to send a text back so one thing you can to piss me off, is not text me back. Now saying that, I don't mean text me back right away-I mean not answer AT ALL. Grrr.

6.) Jon and I met in junior high. He liked me all through junior high and high school. We dated for a few months in high school but I ended with him for stupid reasons. We still stayed friends (through a few trying times, trust me) and in January of 2006, I finally confessed to one of my best friends that I really liked Jon. She called her fiance (Jon's best friend) and the four of us went out to dinner at Chili's. We've been inseparable ever since. I'm not sure why he waited for me so long, but I'm so glad he did! They say you should marry your best friend. Sometimes I wake up and still think I'm in a dream because I really did marry my best friend. He has been my best friend since our freshmen year of high school. Somehow, somewhere along the line, we fell in love. It's been a fairy tale ever since.

7.) I love scary movies...seriously LOVE them. October is one of my favorite months because AMC has their Scary Movie Night every single night! I also love fall colors, the cooler weather, haunted houses, etc. That being said Christmas is my favorite holiday. Halloween doesn't hold a candle.

8.) I love me some football. Not college football. You can keep that. I love my NFL!! I'm an avid Colts fan. And yes, I know it's hard to believe, but I loved them when they were 2-14. Remember those days? *shudder* And yes, I know who our QB was before the Manning era started. To equal it out, I can also tell you who the QB was for New England before Brady came. I LOVE NFL football. I'm not sure why or where it came from. But every Sunday I park my ass in front of the TV all day and I don't move. Jon and I plan on next Sunday finding a bar in the airport so we can watch some of the Colts game before our plane takes off! Hahahaha And no, I don't want to talk about the Super Bowl. I'll get over it in time, but right now I'm still bitter. How long will I be bitter for? Well, I still want to punch Vander-kick it wide right in the face. And I still can't stand Ron Winters for giving the Chargers the play off game 2 years ago. THANKS, buddy. And I'm convinced that I will always hate Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Belicheat, and Ellis Hobbs...with everything in me.

9.) I love taking naps. I'm like a child. If I have a spare hour or two, I'll be on the couch passed out. I also love sleeping in-but I'm so accustomed to getting up at 7:00 to take care of Reggie and get ready for work that my idea of "sleep in" now is waking up at 8:30.

10 Things to 10 People

Saw this and thought it would be interesting to do:

1.) To my husband-I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else in this world. You are amazing. You're my rock and my saving grace. I love you more and more every day. I love our inside jokes, our blonde moments, and our life together in general. I feel so blessed to be with such an incredible, hard-working man who will always support his family. I love you!

2.) To my wingman-I love you so so so much. You have always been there for me and I'm so grateful for that. I can't tell you how happy I am that you're back home. I'm a lot happier now knowing that my best friend in the entire world is no longer 8 long hours away--she's 20 minutes away! I love you!

3.) To the Bert to my Ernie-Wow. Where to even begin with you? Crazy to think that we've only been friends for a year, but I couldn't imagine not having you in my life. Even though we fight and you drive me crazy sometimes, you're such an incredible person. You're a great friend and a wonderful father. I love our thug time, our drives, our inside jokes, and our "code words" that make our conversations sound so silly to everyone else! I know we don't agree on some of your decisions (Okay, one of your decisions), but I do respect them..even though I have a hard time showing you that. I just don't want to see you get hurt again. But know that if and when it does happen, I'll be there again too.Who knew when I took this job I would meet my best guy friend in the entire world? It's so great to be able to bitch to you about anything going on and you understand. You keep my work days and my life sane. Love you mean it!

4.) To my mama-You are the most selfless, most caring, and loving mother anyone could ask for. You are truly my best friend and I love being able to be so close to you so we can see each other so much. I love our dinner dates and our shopping trips. I'm so blessed to have you as my mom. I love you more than anything!

5.) To my bosses-It's not often that you find bosses who actually say "Thank you" everyday before we leave. I appreciate your understanding. It makes work so much easier. It makes me want to work harder. I couldn't ask for better bosses. Thank you for absolutely everything you guys do. I appreciate you so much.

6.) To my DDs-I love my girls so much! I miss you more than you know! I miss the snacks between classes, the basement (WITH NO SIGNAL!), and the inside jokes we had about the other students. I couldn't have made it through college..or life..without you girls. I love you girls soooo much!!

7.) To my PIC-Who knew I could find someone I work with that I love like a sister? I appreciate your friendship more than you know. Thank you for everything-coming over when I'm mad/sad/upset, letting me come to your house and venting for hours, and making work so much fun! I love that we have our own language and we have nicknames for everyone. Go Team K! Hahahaha

8.) To my Sis-I wouldn't be who I am without having you to look up to. Thank you for always being there. I'm glad we're so close. I love you so much and I appreciate your advice, your ear, and you making me laugh when I need it! Love you, Sis!

9.) To the NFL-So help me, if you let Ron Winters officiate games this year, I'm half tempted to go on strike with the teams next year! He's a POS who caused several teams to lose valuable games the past few years. He sucks. Try Mike Carrey. He rocks. Thank you. Oh and the Patriots still cheat. Sit on that one. Oh and don't get me started on the damn Super Bowl. YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK ABOUT THAT ONE!

10.) To Colts Fans-Hey ya'll...this is PRE-SEASON. Come cry to me when we're 0-4 in the regular season, okay? Good night. Do you honestly expect Curtis Painter to be Peyton-f&cking-Manning? SERIOUSLY?! Stop being fair weather fans. You're proving other NFL fans right, you know? We have an AMAZING team..I don't know about you guys but I'm not all up for one of our starters getting home for a game that doesn't matter. Just my opinion. Thanks.

10A.) Dear Bernard Pollard-Hey there, Boiler! Sooooo listen, man, I cried happy tears when you made Tom Brady your bitch 2 seasons ago. Ok, I didn't really cry, but I was secretly a little happy, much like everyone else who isn't Pats fans (DON'T PRETEND LIKE YOU DIDN'T! hahahaha). But please, oh, please don't hurt Peyton. PLEASE. Thanks! Loves!

Time Management

If you look at the clock and it's 9:00 at night, you'll find me on my couch. With a book/magazine/remote control in hand. House cleaning for the day done, dinner done, Reg getting wound down for the night, all ready to just relax. I make this possible with using up little bits of extra time I have during the day to get little stuff done. You'd be surprised how much it helps!

Morning Routine: (I shower at night.)
7:00-7:10: Get up, take Reg out x2 (He never goes 1 and 2 at the same time!), feed him and while he's eating make Jon's lunch.
7:10-7:30: Get ready for work
7:30-7:40: Eat breakfast
7:40-7:50: Brush my teeth, grab my shoes, grab a snack, look for my cell phone, head out!
8:00: Ready to work.

Just utilizing the time that Reg is eating makes it a perfect time to make Jon's lunch. Multitasking at its finest.

Lunch Routine: (I have about 40 mins. after drive time.)
Get into the house, throw food in microwave.
Take Reg out.
Eat.
Set out stuff for dinner.

Setting things out for dinner during lunch helps cut out prep time and defrosting time. Works amazing!

Evening Routine:
Come home.
Start dinner. While dinner is cooking I'll do daily tasks if possible (i.e. water plants, dust, etc).
Mid dinner-set table, get drinks ready, etc.
Eat.
Clean up and do daily room cleaning.
Shower.
Set out clothes for the next day.
RELAX--on a good night, this is around 8:00. On nights when I have more to do, it will be around 9.

Makes life so much simpler!

After the graduation, Jon and I went up to Indianapolis and got our wedding rings cleaned! They're so nice and sparkly now! Nothing beats how they look after a good cleaning! We stopped and had dinner at Five Guys, then headed off to our friends Kristina and Cameron's engagement party!
